挑选并综合了《樱桃小丸子》动画中，几个有着小丸子和周围的人发生矛盾冲突的小故事，并把它们串连了起来。本剧虽然只有短短的三个故事，但却把小丸子，还有小丸子的一家以及她周围的朋友、同学，所有作品中经常出现的人物性格，都刻画了出来。本剧是该特别版的第二部。
该剧由陈立军导演，讲述生长在北京大杂院的霍然因为家庭不幸，成了混迹于都市彷徨于人生十字街头的“胡同串子”，在公安干警循循善诱的热心引导下，浑浑噩噩打发日子的霍然终于想到要好好做人。适逢北京申奥成功，让不甘沉沦的霍然感觉到了在扑面而来的奥运气息中社会和生活的变化。正是青春好年华的霍然毅然投身散打运动，屡经磨砺、几度坎坷，终于成长为一位为国争光的散打冠军。
