故事讲述了平凡女高中生牛晓晓因为高二分班成为了最后一排“脑洞”少年关俊成的邻桌，意外地发现了他经常上课“玩”小动作的秘密。关俊成的游戏花样百出、脑洞巨大，且总能巧妙地躲避老师的目光，从橡皮多米诺、传纸条、纸飞机到做早餐、打磨课桌等无所不玩，甚至连开家长会都不放过。虽然牛晓晓很努力想认真听课，脑电波却总能莫名与关俊成打通，对他奇怪的举动也是一面花式吐槽一面又在意得不得了，看似平凡的高中生活也因此变得令人期待起来。在这个过程中晓晓渐渐对关俊成有了更多的了解，从小动作的观察者变成了参与者，关俊成也不知何时接纳了晓晓成为他精神世界的唯一“战友”。
