《出关》视角新颖，讲述了一个与众不同的传奇事件：一群手无寸铁的被俘红军官兵和壮丁被一支声称要出关抗日的川北地方军阀部队荷枪实弹地押往潼关，于是，从“出关”启程那天开始，红军敌工科长刘一手与国军团长丁成义就展开了斗智斗勇的生死较量。脱逃、暗杀、卧底、钳制；提防、争斗、锄奸、融合，这段漫长历程对双方来说，都是危机四伏和异常艰险的。红军官兵恪守信仰，以精神和智慧突围，与敌智斗，攻破敌心，最终靠精神和意志战胜、影响和改变了押解自己的敌人，与之携手，摒弃前嫌，共赴国难，出关抗日。

1926年4月，方志敏与毛泽东、彭湃首次在广州相遇。他们坚信，中国必有一个光明的未来！为了这个光明的未来，方志敏配合国民革命军攻克南昌，结束了北洋军阀在江西的统治，蒋介石却开始蚕食革命成果。“八七会议”后，方志敏开始建立赣东北革命根据地和工农红军。趁军阀大混战时机，方志敏率 领红军一举占领景德镇市，建立了人口近百万的赣东北苏区，成为保卫中央苏区的战略右翼。1934年末，方志敏为掩护中央红军向西长征率部孤军深入皖南，寡不敌众不幸被俘。他面对国民党的威逼利诱巍然不屈，在狱中写下《可爱的中国》、《清贫》等一系列著作。最终被国民党秘密处决，用自己的生命谱写了一曲共产党人的正气歌。
